TIMIKA AIRPORT

Timika Airport is an airport built by the Ministry of Transportation, located in Timika, Papua, Indonesia. We want to make a stylish-modern architectural design by adapting local characteristics. The airport building is expected to be a new landmark for the city of Timika.

Our lighting design concept tries to highlight the characteristics of the architectural design-the exterior design of a modern building with exotic compositions. The lighting design is also made simple by accentuating accents in the building and maximizing interior light coming out of the glass area facade. The concept of interior lighting highlights local traditional motifs. By applying the backlight effect,t these motifs will become more prominent.
