Jakarta, INDONESIA
green building
GOLD
The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing built seven towers in Block D10 on an area of 79,400 m2 with 5,494 residential units for 18th Asian Games athletes and officials. PT Jakarta Konsultindo planned the design with the concept of green building. In 2019, Wisma Atlet Kemayoran is the first project in Indonesia that received a Greenship Neighborhood V1.0 for Plan Project certificate at the GOLD level, from the Green Building Council Indonesia.
Wisma Atlet Kemayoran provides green open space of 51,818.76 m2 or 62.99% of the total land area, equipped with Communal Plaza between towers. The green area of the landscape is filled with tropical plants that come from local nurseries, due to reducing the carbon footprint.
There are bins for 3 categories of waste in all areas to keep the area clean and to make reuse and recycling process easy.
Facilities for athletes and officials to interact and do activities, including Flag Plaza, Sitting Plaza, Edible Garden, and Semi-Amphitheater. Every day, there will be an event in Semi-Amphitheater, “18th Asian Games FANTASIA”, that will showcase the traditional song and dance performance, act performance, karaoke athlete, and games.
Pedestrian pathways equipped with a ramp and guiding blocks for the disabled. Finishing materials using materials that have bright colors such as white and grey concrete block pavement and grey andesite stones, as an effort to improve the microclimate. As a result, the albedo value was 83.96%. At night, lighting in the pedestrian pathways uses LED lights, so that the lighting consumption for all types of lamps used does not exceed the maximum limit of 2.50 watt/m2.
The main source of clean water for all towers in the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran comes from PDAM water, while the source of water for landscape irrigation comes from recycling water. Each towers has a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) for processing black and greywater. For stormwater management, there are long soak ponds and infiltration ponds that can accommodate stormwater runoff with a capacity of 76.73%.
